Use these official templates to ensure your manuscript complies with Journal of JAFA authoring standards and to expedite peer review.
Please also read the Author Guidelines and follow the formatting requirements summarized on this page.
1. Files & Downloads
Choose the template for your journal. All templates follow the IMRaD structure, CRediT taxonomy, ethics, and DOI-based referencing.
2. How to Use the Template
- Open the template and Save As before writing.
- Use the provided Styles (Heading 1/2/3, Normal, Caption) — avoid manual formatting.
- Enter title, authors, affiliations (with ROR where available), and each author’s ORCID.
- Write a structured abstract (IMRaD) and keywords (4–6 terms).
- Insert tables/figures with clear captions and cite them in-text.
- Manage references with a citation manager (Zotero/Mendeley/EndNote) and include DOIs where available.
- Before upload, run a plagiarism check and ensure similarity ≤ 20%.
3. Manuscript Format Summary
- Font & Layout: Cambria 12 pt, single-spaced, two-column, A4 paper size.
- Length: Original research ≤ 15 pages; reviews ≤ 20 pages (excluding appendices/supplementary files).
- Units: SI units; consistent decimal/thousands separators.
- Figures: Resolution ≥ 300 dpi; use high-quality raster formats.
- IMRaD structure: Introduction, Literature Review (if needed), Methods (incl. ethics), Results, Discussion, Conclusions, then Declarations (Acknowledgments, CRediT, Funding, COI, Ethics, Trial Registration, AI Use, Data Availability).
4. Anonymization (Double-Blind)
- Remove author names & affiliations from the main manuscript (keep them on the title page/OJS metadata).
- Strip identifying clues from the text/file metadata (Properties, Track Changes, comments).
- Cite own work using an author-blind style where appropriate.
5. Citations & References
- Use a consistent style (e.g., APA 7th); ensure in-text citations match the reference list.
- Minimum: ≥25 (original research) / ≥50 (reviews); ≥80% from the last 5 years; include DOIs where available.
- Prioritize core sources indexed by Scopus/Web of Science where relevant.
6. Mini-Checklist
- Cambria 12 pt, single-spaced, two-column, A4.
- Structured abstract (IMRaD) 150–250 words; 4–6 keywords.
- ORCID for all authors; ROR for each affiliation.
- Ethics/Consent & Trial Registration (where applicable).
- AI Use (language editing only; no intellectual content generation).
- Data Availability (repository DOI/URL) or justified restrictions.
- Consistent references + DOIs; recency requirements met.
- Similarity ≤ 20% (Turnitin/iThenticate).
