Open Access Policy

Akademia: Journal of Education & Innovation provides immediate and unrestricted open access to all content, ensuring that educational research can be freely shared and applied worldwide.

All articles are available online immediately upon publication—without subscription fees or access barriers. Readers are free to read, share, and reuse under the terms of the article’s license.

1. Policy Statement

Akademia is committed to open and equitable access to educational research. We believe open access promotes knowledge democratization, enhances teacher innovation, and strengthens the global exchange of pedagogical ideas. All published articles are immediately available online without restrictions.

2. License & User Rights

Unless otherwise specified, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license permits anyone to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, provided proper credit is given to the author(s) and source.

4. Access, Archiving & Preservation

  • Immediate access: all articles are open upon publication.
  • Preservation: the journal is preserved through PKP PN/LOCKSS digital archiving systems.
  • OAI-PMH endpoint: https://journal.fajarpos.com/index/oai allows metadata harvesting and indexing.
Metadata include license information, ORCID, ROR affiliations, funding details, and Crossref DOIs for long-term discoverability.

5. Article Processing Charges (APC) & Waivers

Akademia may collect APCs to support editorial and production services. However, authors from developing countries or those without institutional support may request a partial or full waiver. The editorial decision is based solely on academic merit and is independent of any financial considerations.

6. Self-Archiving & Preprints

  • Preprints: authors may post preprints anytime and update with DOI after publication.
  • Postprints: accepted versions can be archived in institutional or subject repositories with citation and DOI.
  • Published versions: may be shared under the CC BY 4.0 license with proper citation and link to the journal.

7. Metadata & Machine Readability

  • Metadata include structured license information, author ORCIDs, and institutional ROR IDs.
  • All references include persistent identifiers (DOIs, Handles, or URLs).
  • Crossref deposits enable automatic metadata propagation to indexing services.

8. Third-Party Material

Some figures, data, or media included in an article may not be covered by the article’s license. Authors are responsible for securing appropriate permissions and crediting third-party materials clearly. Users must verify rights before reuse.

9. Compliance & Open Science

  • The journal aligns with global Open Access and Open Science standards.
  • Authors are encouraged to deposit research data, learning tools, or software in trusted repositories (e.g., Zenodo, OSF, Figshare).
